A self-help book for people with analysis paralysis.

“How Overthinking Stunts Creativity” is a book designed to help people who have experienced analysis paralysis when working on their projects. The project is intended for young designers, who are stuck in a rut and need help to overcome overthinking. The contents of the book are from the essay called ‘The Science of Analysis Paralysis’ written by Becky Kane from ‘Todolist’.

The book has 2 sections, the first part is an informal guide to how analysis paralysis affects us in our decision making, and the second section then a how-to guide for overcoming it.

This project connected with Monotype where they posed the prompt to express the concept of choice in a printed medium, with the aid of their font collection to incorporate into the piece.

Using their font Madera it conveys a sense of informality by still being grounded.

Additionally, there is a fold-out piece in the book for the audience to interact with that illustrates the feelings of being overwhelmed with choice in a typographic way.
